The Quantum Building is an office complex in the heart of Ghent. Tectum Dekkers handled the roof waterproofing.

The Quantum Building is an office complex in the heart of Ghent with a pivotal function between the Dampoort station, the Oude Dokken, the city centre and the area known as the nineteenth century belt. The  9,300 m² building is a classic example of sustainability. Its solar panels, intelligent insulation techniques and the advanced heating supply all make that clear.

Numerous challenges arose during the large Quantum Building construction project. This is one of the busiest nodes in Ghent. The building also required a lot of precision work. We paid extra attention to the interconnection of façade details with the water and wind screening on the roof. Tectum Dekkers applied an EPDM waterproofing membrane on the roof, handled the insulation and installed vapour barriers.
