By annual tradition, the Tectum Group collaborators support good causes. Last Sunday, Tectum Group donated a total of 15,000 euros to six good causes.

Not just a good cause

In January 2018, Tectum Group launched a call for nominating good causes. The collaborators submitted over 30 organisations! A Tectum jury selected six organisations:

Rozerood, a Limburg peers association for cancer patients and their relatives. Ann Op de Locht selected this good cause to support in this way her former colleague, who is member of the organization and who has survived cancer.

Hirschsprung disease association

The Hirschsprung disease association is committed to enlarging the knowledge of doctors on this congenital colon disease. Ciska Neels nominated this organization, because her little girl suffers from this disease and she knows that the association can use the money.

Bone4Kids supports research on the rare disease pseudarthrosis. Lennert Schreurs nominated this good cause, because his niece is foundress of this organisation and her daughter suffers from this muscular disease.
Ziekte van Hirschsprung

This Walloon organisation Bailou, which caters for persons with a mental disability, was nominated by Stephan Winzen.

Surplus is committed to make the stay of cancer patients as pleasant as possible. Pieter Aerts selected this good cause, because one of his clients survived cancer last year, also because of the support of this organisation.

Berrefonds supports parents who have lost their baby during or after the pregnancy. Considering her personal relationship with this organization, Kelly Smet handed over the cheque during her wedding.

The hottest six months

All subsidiaries raised funds to support the organisations in their own way. They organized, amongst other things:

  • Music quiz at Herstal ;
  • Spaghetti evening at Schoten
  • Football bet at Melle
  • Casino evening at Genk
  • Sandwich sales at Rilland
  • Beer tasting at Genk
  • And much more!
